Technology has actually become a part of our daily lives, almost like breathing. We check our Facebook in the morning, switch the news on, listen to radio stations at work, walk past advertising billboards for transnational companies, we are surrounded by digital commutation. This website was brought about by the idea of comparing two respected theorists and scholars on said subject: Clay Shirky and Jaron Lanier. These two in particular have contrasting views and opinions. This website will be focusing specifically on their views on the future and technology in the digital age. These two academics clash on this view, with Shirky being more inclined to a more utopian future whilst Lanier is more likely to believe in a dystopian future.
